Renee Marie Dunn, 56, of Tenstrike, was convicted of gross misdemeanor theft and was sentenced to one year in jail with 355 days stayed for two years.

She must serve either 10 days in jail or 10 days on Sentence to Serve. Either way, the time must be complete by Sept. 1.

She also must repay $1,105 to the Blackduck American Legion, pay a $750 fine and pay $160 in fees.

She was sentenced July 19 by Beltrami County District Judge John Melbye.

According to the criminal complaint, the Blackduck American Legion gambling reported in October 2011 that $1,105 was missing from pull-tab proceeds. He said Dunn had admitted to him and others that she had taken and spent the money on personal expenses.

The Legion gave her 60 days to repay the money but she didn't pay it back, the complaint states.
