A fee of $25 will cover the materials and during the 90-minute session, which is open to the public. Registration is required by July 13.

A district manager for the Magid Glove and Safety Manufacturing Company, Sullivan will discuss ways employers and employees can protect their hands from cuts, abrasions and chemical injuries with the use of proper personal protection equipment.

In the most recent year for which the Bureau of Labor Statistics published data, more than 160,000 workers experienced hand or finger injuries requiring days away from work.

Sponsored by the center and the Northern Minnesota Safety Council, the session is part of a series that features experts on topics relating to safety. Programs are held on the third Wednesday of each month.
