Roy O. Lattie, 76, of White Earth, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the Mahnomen Health Center in Mahnomen.
Roy was born to Otto and Ida Lattie on Aug. 18, 1932 in Aberdeen, Wash. He married Harriet Warren on Nov. 9, 1957 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He grew up and started his family in Washington until he moved to the White Earth area in 1963. He was a very hard worker, doing all types of construction, until he was no longer able to work. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and loved to tease and flirt. He loved his family dearly, he loved being by the lake, and also had a love for food. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Roy is survived by his children, Michael (Terri) Vail, Jacque (Bruce) Premo, Dora (Bruce) Thebiay, Nancy Lattie, Linda (Harry) Rhoades, Doris (Dan) Premo, and Roy Lattie, Jr.; 19 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brother, Ralph (LaVonne) Lattie; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Roy in death were his wife, Harriet; parents, Otto and Ida Lattie; grandsons, Matthew Premo, Jarrod Thebiay, Michael Thebiay and Harry Rhoades, Jr.; sisters, Evelyn, Shirley and Doris; and brothers, Rudy and Richard.
A celebration of life service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31 at the Mahnomen Health Center/Nursing Home and at 2 p.m. in the White Earth Circle of Life School Gymnasium. Lunch and refreshments will be served following the services.
