Rose Hoff, 100, of Bagley, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at the Cornerstone Nursing and Rehab Center in Bagley.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bagley with the Rev. Dave Super officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Bagley.
The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
She was born Nov. 15, 1908, to Louis and Mary (Znidersich) Prebil in Chisholm, Minn. She lived in Montana as a young child and then moved back to Chisholm and attended school. She married Henry Hoff Nov. 10, 1936, in Duluth, Minn. They lived in Pigeon River, where he worked for customs.
They moved to International Falls, Minn., in 1940 and to Bagley in 1956.
She enjoyed baking for people, quilting and crafting. She was active in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She laundered all of the church linens and vestments, taught church school and was active in the St. Ann's Guild.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Bergvall of International Falls; sons, Larry (Sydney) Hoff of Wake Forest, N.C., and Rudy (Betty) Hoff of Bonney Lake, Wash.; daughter, Margaret (Bob) Abraham of Lake Itasca, Minn; sisters, Fran Magnuson of Two Harbors, Minn., and Jessie Alexander of Mesa, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers; two sisters; three grandchildren and a son-in-law.
