Rose Ann Hamlin
Rose Ann Hamlin, 90, of Bemidji, MN died Thursday, February 21, 2013 in her home.
Memorial Services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Fred Martin officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be in the spring in the Nebish Community Cemetery.
Rose Ann Hill was born September 8, 1922 in Bemidji, MN to Ashley and Mary (Matusek) Hill. She grew up in Tenstrike and attended school in Bemidji. On April 28, 1945 she married William Hamlin in Nebish, MN. She joined the Grey Ladies in 1951, was a Red Cross Volunteer for 57 years at Lake Julia Rest Home, Fairview Nursing Home and Beltrami Nursing Home. She was a long time member of the Nebish Willing Workers. Rose Ann enjoyed embroidering, quilting, gardening, playing cards and was an avid Minnesota sports fan.
She is survived by her sons, Robert (Naomi) Hamlin of Cambridge, James (Edith) Hamlin of Cologne and John (Carol White) Hamlin of Cass Lake; daughters, Margaret Stout of Bemidji, Nancy Hamlin of Burnsville and Melody (Norman) Loe of Andover; daughter-in-law, Nancy Marie Hamlin of Coon Rapids; 18 grandchildren 30 & 7/9 great-grandchildren, 3 & 5/9 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Marschall of Fridley and Donna (Marvin) Boe of Tenstrike.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Bill Palmer Hamlin; son, William Bill David Hamlin; brothers, John Hill, Albert Hill and David Hill; sisters, Josephine Jones, Arvilla Hamlin, Dorothy Berg, Julie Anderson and grandson, Terry Anderson.
