Ronald Charles Muller "Rotten Ron"

Ronald Charles Muller "Rotten Ron", 63, of Laporte, MN passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013.

He was born on March 9, 1950 in Cass Lake, Minnesota the son of Ralph and Iola (Finckbone) Muller.

Ron grew up around the Cass Lake, Bemidji area and attended school at Guthrie and Bemidji school districts. He entered the United States Army and served three years in Vietnam following school. Once he was honorably discharged from the Army he drove truck to keep him busy. He met Deborah Smodell and they married November 1, 1980 at the Northern Bible Church in Bemidji.

Ron started and operated the Ron Muller Trucking Company. He was always a very good-humored person who loved spending time with his grandchildren. There wasn't an opportunity Ron would miss to poke fun at a person. Ron was also a member of the St. Paul American Legion Post 1982.

He was preceded in death by his wife Deborah (Smodell) Muller, his parents, sister; Ilene Rohde and brother; Duane "Butch" Muller.

Ron is survived by his son; Todd (Jessica) Muller of Thief River Falls, MN, daughters; Rena Hanks of Kelliher, MN and Erin (Ryan) Storbeck of Gackle, ND, brother; Harlen (Muriel) Muller of Cass Lake, MN, sister; Darlene Tobin of Peach Tree City, GA, grandchildren; Payton, Lorelie, Connor, Jayce and Bailey. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A friendly gathering will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Third Base Bar and Grill in Laporte, MN.

Honorary pallbearers for Ron will be all his nephews and close friends. Military Honors accorded by Walker American Legion Post 134. Arrangements for Ron entrusted to Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker, MN. Online condolences for the family may be given at www.northernpeace.com
