Child, father die after kayak overturns on Hart Lake in Hubbard County

Roberta Mae (Myers) Cox, 72, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at her home.

She was born on July 7, 1936 in Murdo, S.D. She earned a nursing degree at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, S.D. She married Richard Cox in 1961. They lived in St. Paul, White Bear Lake, Ortonville, Arlington and retired to Osage in 1995.

She was involved with Grace Community Church, of Osage, the Osage Lions, St. Joseph's Area Hospice, and Living at Home. She battled with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).

She is survived by her husband; six children: Bruce (Connie), Brian, Robert (Becky), David, Kathleen and Daniel (Keli); and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edna and Cecil Myers; and a brother, Ronald Myers.

Honorary casket bearers: Joann Christlieb, Brenda Gillette, Barb Southward, Pam Niemi, Sue Monsrud, Elily Holmer, and Ellie Schluter.

Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21 at Grace Community Church in Osage with Rev. Bill Ullom officiating.

Interment: Riverside Cemetery in Osage.
