Robert “Bob” Paulson, age 73 of Bemidji, MN died Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Memorial Services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, December 27, 2012 at First Lutheran Church, Bemidji, MN with Pastor Corey Fuhrman officiating. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Bemidji MN.

Robert William Paulson was born October 6, 1939 in Cokato, MN to William and Eva (Schmidt) Paulson. The family moved to Zumbrota, MN where Bob grew up and graduated from Zumbrota High School. He attended St. Olaf College and graduated from Pharmacy College at the University of Minnesota. Bob married Barbara Ann Conrad on June 22, 1963 in Jasper, MN. After graduation, he worked as a pharmacist at J.J. Bill’s Drug Store in Madelia, MN. Bob then moved his family to Canby, MN where he owned and operated Paulson Drug for many years. In 1990, Bob decided to pursue his dream of living on a lake in Northern Minnesota and moved to his current home in Bemidji. Bob worked at Cass Lake Drug, Pamida Pharmacy, Iverson Corner Drug, Thomas Drug and Thrifty White Drug. He worked for Nobel Drug in Baudette, so he could be closer to his cabin at his favorite fishing spot at Lake of the Woods. He frequently entertained family and friends there. Bob had a love and passion for the outdoors that led to many hunting outings as well as his great love of fishing He was a member of the local Eagles club. He was a very devoted father who followed numerous children’s activities, especially his son’s wrestling career where he never missed a match. Bob loved his family and had very special bonds with his grandchildren.

Survived by his wife, Barb Paulson, Bemidji; daughter, Terri (Dave) Mans, Bemidji; and son, Todd (Lisa) Paulson, Lakeville, MN; Grandchildren, Zach Mans, Alli Mans, Eli Mans, Hunter Paulson, Kaiden Paulson & Addison Paulson,.

Preceded in death by his parents, William and Eva Paulson and a brother, Gary Paulson.
