Robert H. Schipper (Bob), a resident of Woodbriar Apartments in Becker, Minn., was born in Shevlin, Minn. to Hank & Mabel (Doyea) Schipper on May 6th, 1938. He was raised in northern Minnesota; he served in the U.S. Navy after which he enjoyed a colorful variety of service to many different types of employment.
With patience and determination Bob courted Evelyn (Greer), and on October 14th, 1967 they were married at Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Elk River, Minn. With the same patience and determination they enjoyed 41 years of marriage together.
From building trucks to driving trucks, his love of life and trucking took him over one million miles doing something he loved.
Bob was a resident of the Big Lake, Minn. area for more than half of his life and is survived by his wife Evelyn; children, Robert M. Schipper and Rhonda (Alan) Metzger; Grandchildren Terrance, Jeramey and Adam and his sisters Ann Lindberg and Mille Lofgren.
After his 8-plus-year battle with COPD and emphysema he went to in the loving arms of the Savior on December 2, 2008 at the age of 70.
He made a huge impact on all of our lives and he will be sorely missed by all.
Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Becker, Minn. December 6, 2008.
