Road closure from gas leak lifted

As of 11:54 a.m. today, the road closure on 23rd Street between Ash Avenue Northwest and Pine Ridge Avenue Northwest has been lifted and is now passable.

The National Guard Armory Rummage Sale is closed for the remainder of the day, as the parking lot has been barricaded.

The Bemidji Police Department has issued a press release stating that people need to stay away from the scene as there are repairs to the gas leak ongoing at this time in the vicinity of the Armory.

At approximately 10:30 a.m. the Bemidji Police dispatch received a call of a gas leak at 1430 23rd Street N.W. The Bemidji Fire Department and local law enforcement officials responded to the scene. The building was evacuated.
