RMCEP named Provider of the Year
BEMIDJI - Rural Minnesota CEP has been named the State of Minnesota Provider of the Year.
The award was based on RMCEP's commitment to quality customer service and responsibility with taxpayer investments and the agency's ability to generate results in a large area of the state that includes challenging economic and demographic trends.
The Rural Minnesota Concentrated Employment Program serves 19 counties in northwestern Minnesota and provides free services to job seekers and employers.
RMCEP helps people find jobs or get the training they need to find the jobs they want. If they are undecided, career exploration and planning activities are available.
RMCEP is a private, nonprofit Workforce Center partner located in eight WorkForce Centers in northwestern Minnesota. Each has information on job openings and offers a variety of workshops on job search techniques, resume writing and interviewing. Computers with Internet access, telephones, printers, copiers and fax machines are available for customers' use.
The agency also can help employers by posting job openings and hosting job fairs where employers can access large numbers of job seekers at the same time. Staff can provide information and answer questions about the labor market and employment law. Office space is available that employers can use to conduct interview. RMCEP can help cut the cost of training a new employee through on-the-job training.
RMCEP offices are located in the WorkForce Center buildings in Bemidji, Moorhead, Alexandria, Fergus Falls, Detroit Lakes, Brainerd, Wadena and Little Falls.
