Richard (Dick) Davis 84 of Bagley, MN died on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Free Lutheran Church in Bagley, MN with Rev. Wayne Hjemstad officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-7 PM with a service at 7:00 P.M. at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley, MN. Interment will be at the Clearwater Lutheran Cemetery in Shevlin, MN. Military Rites will be accorded by the Irvin Blix American Legion Post No. 16 of Bagley. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted with the arrangements.

Dick was born September 29, 1928 in Bemidji, MN the son Clyde and Velma Davis. He attended Northern Elementary and Bemidji High School. In 1945 he entered the United States Air Force where he served honorably until his discharge in 1948. Upon returning to Bagley, MN he began working for Clearwater-Polk REA as a lineman and later a line superintendent until retiring in 1995. Dick loved to hunt, fish, play softball, and spend time out at his hunting land. He also enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting with all his friends and family. Dick was a devoted husband of Jeanne Hegg Lanners Davis for 42 years. Dick was a member of the Irvin Blix American Legion and the DAV.

His grandchildren- Shawn and Derek Ferestad, Ann (Davis) Johnson, Scott Davis, Brittney, Josh, and Sophia Eischens, Austin and Brayden Hill, Jahkia and Alyssa Davis, and 7 great grandchildren.

Brother- Bob (Donna) Davis in Colorado

A close friend that he thought of as a son- Brant (Janelle) Melbo of Bagley, MN

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daughter- Sheryl, Sister- Verna Boe; brother-in-law- Don Boe, and two infant sons,
