RGS banquet, Winter Fishing Challenge among Bemidji area events
BEMIDJI – The 30th annual North Central Minnesota Ruffed Grouse Society banquet will be Thursday, March 28 at the Hampton Inn in Bemidji.
The social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner will start at 7:30 p.m. The event will also feature a variety of auctions and drawings.
Money raised through the banquet will be used by the Ruffed Grouse Society to create and improve grouse and woodcock habitat throughout the birds’ range, including the Bemidji area.
Individual tickets are $55 (which includes membership in the RGS and the dinner). A junior ticket is $40 while a member and spouse ticket is $85.
People purchasing a dinner ticket prior to March 18 are eligible to win $200 in drawing tickets.

Winter Fishing Challenge
CASS LAKE - The Cass Lake Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its annual Winter Fishing Challenge noon to 3 p.m. Saturday on Cass Lake.
Tickets for the tournament and entry into the various drawings are $40 ($45 the day of the event).
The angler who catches the largest fish will receive $2,000. Cash prizes will also be awarded to the anglers who catch the 10th, 20th, 30th and 40th heaviest fish.
Tickets are available at various Cass Lake businesses plus Taber’s and Downtown Meats in Bemidji.
