Red Lake constitutional reform meetings set
BEMIDJI — The Red Lake Constitution Reform Initiative Committee is planning a series of area meetings to talk with enrolled citizens and immediate family of enrolled citizens about drafting a new Red Lake Constitution.
According to a release, the committee wants to hear from members of each community in order to ensure the drafting of a new Red Lake Constitution accurately reflects the voice of the Red Lake Nation.
The upcoming district meetings will be the first round of four community meetings. Dinner will be served at the meetings:
• March 22: 2 p.m., American Indian Center, Minneapolis
• March 24: 5:30 p.m., Redby Community Center, Redby
• March 25: 5:30 p.m., Red Lake Community Center, Red Lake
• March 26: 5:30 p.m., Ponemah Boys’ & Girls’ Club, Ponemah
March 27: 5:30 p.m., Little Rock Community Center, Little Rock
According to the release, meetings will also take place in Bemidji and Duluth, but exact dates and locations have not been confirmed.
