It is expected that the steel frame will take between two and three hours to erect. The boards with the painting on them are expected to be placed between noon and 1 p.m. The colorful sign, which measures 10x18 feet, was designed and painted by Red Lake High School art teacher and artist Patrick Desjarlait.

A total of four signs with this same painting will be erected next week, one at each border point. Three will have wooden frames. The sign on Highway 89 will be the only one with a steel frame and lighted.
