The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:
8 a.m. Thursday, Bemidji Avenue North. Abraham Cummings was driving a 2002 Chrysler south on Bemidji Avenue when he reached for his cell phone and inadvertently ran a red light, striking a 2001 Nissan driven by Julie Hanson, who was headed west on 10th Street. Hanson said she had pain in her left calf but refused medical treatment. The Chrysler sustained major damage to its front end and the Nissan sustained moderate damage to its right rear.
1:35 p.m. Thursday, Northwest Technical College. A Dell laptop valued at about $1,350 was stolen.
9:20 a.m. Thursday, 500 block of America avenue Northwest.

3:42 p.m. Thursday, 2400 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest.
The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:
1 p.m. Thursday, 2000 block of First Street East. Ottertail Electric asked for an investigation into the possible theft of services. Determined to be that tenant had been evicted and the landlord had the power turned back on for different tenants for water purposes. No charges will be pursued.
12:10 a.m. Thursday, 5500 block of Bemidji Avenue North.

2:21 p.m. Thursday, 2500 block of Irvine Avenue Northwest. Medical call.
4:47 p.m. Thursday, 1700 block of Norton Avenue Northwest. Medical call.
5:01 p.m. Thursday, Highway 71 south. Personal-injury accident.
5:33 p.m. Thursday, Highway 2 south of Highway 71. Personal-injury accident, rollover.
6:19 p.m. Thursday, 2500 block of Irvine Avenue Northwest. Medical call.
The State Patrol out of Thief River Falls responded to the following calls:
5:36 p.m. Thursday, U.S. highway 2 west of the south junction with highway 71 in Bemidji. A 1988 Ford Ranger lost control on the ice, went into the median and rolled. The driver, James Roerick, 23, of Bemidji, was treated at released at North Country Regional Hospital for minor injuries. The vehicle was totaled.
7:24 p.m. Thursday, Highway 92 4 miles north of Bagley. A1997 Dodge pickup lost control on the ice and side sideways into the northbound lane and collided with a 2002 Honda Accord. The driver of the Dodge, John Watts, 18, of Bagley was treated and released at Clearwater County Hospital in Bagley. The three occupants of the Honda - driver Jack Gerbracht, 36, of Bagley, and passengers Sara Gerbracht, 40, of Bagley and Michelle Singh, 25, of Bagley - were all taken to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Singh was treated released while Jack Gerbracht was listed in satisfactory condition and Sara Gerbracht was in serious condition Friday morning. Jack Gerbracht, according to the State Patrol, was the only individual from the accident who was not wearing a seat belt. Both vehicles sustained severe damage.
