Theft

12:45 p.m. Monday, location unknown. A woman reported that her check card was stolen and that someone used it to make $260.46 worth of purchases in Bemidji. She said the theft occurred sometime between March 24 and April 7.

Hit-and-run

3:23 p.m. Monday, 2900 Division St. W.

Sheriff's report

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following call:

Theft

10:46 p.m. Saturday, Beltrami Industrial Services Inc. A man reported the theft of tools, a jacket and a weed whacker. The items were later located at the residence of a former employee. Theft charges are pending with the Beltrami County Attorney's Office.

Fire report

The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:

4:27 p.m. Monday, 8600 block of Knappen Hill Road. Grass fire - call canceled by the Department of Natural Resources.

5:45 p.m. Monday, 1400 block of Bixby Avenue Northeast. Smoke complaint - unfounded.

6 p.m. Monday, 2900 block of Country Lane. Firefighters extinguished a grass fire.

6:45 p.m. Monday, 2500 block of Irvine Avenue. Firefighters extinguished a brush fire after receiving complaints.

7:12 p.m. Monday, 13th Street and Park Avenue Northwest. Firefighters were called to a possible Dumpster fire. It was extinguished before firefighters arrived.
