Recital part of the good music of Bemidji
We who love good music are so blessed to live in Bemidji. Where else could one take a short ride into the peaceful countryside, sit among friends in an inviting little church and listen to world-class piano, organ and clarinet music? Delicious homemade salad luncheon was the proverbial frosting on the cake — and all at a price everyone can afford, a free-will offering.
I’m writing about the Wednesday noon church musicians’ recital at Aardahl Lutheran Church on Van Buren Avenue. We know of the expertise of Wayne Hoff and Carol Johnson, for they have been performing in Bemidji for 25 years or more. Kayla Kaml with her clarinet was an unknown and the audience couldn’t wait to give her a standing ovation.
Not only did the audience enjoy the music, it was apparent the musicians enjoyed performing for us.
Bravo! Magnificent! Fantastic! The event deserves only superlatives. Please perform for us again.
Sincere thanks to Wayne, Carol and Kayla for sharing their talents.
