Raymond Mayotte died at age 77 of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho (formally of Bemidji). He went to be with be with our LORD and Savior on November 6, 2013.

A traditional celebration of his life will be held in the spring to be determined at a later date. A mass of Christian burial to be held at St. Mary's Catholic church in Odanah, Wisconsin followed by internment at St. Agnes cemetery in Ashland, WI.

Raymond was the oldest child of Raymond E. Mayotte and Bessie (LaPointe) Mayotte. He was born in Odanah WI. He was a very proud member of the Bad River Band of The Lake Superior Tribe Of Chippewa Indians.

Raymond had a long successful career with the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Retiring at the age of 53 as the Superintendent of the Red Lake agency in Minnesota. His passions were all outdoor activities starting at a young age . Hunting, camping, fishing, boating and he enjoyed three wheeling, ice fishing anything outdoors. His hobbies were cooking, bowling, reading, and traveling about the country.

He was married many years to Mary Ellen (Morrison) Mayotte of Odanah WI, (formally of Bemidji) until her death in 1994. From this union they had four children. Brian, Sherri, Joleen and Mari-Rae.

In 1995 he married Judy Depew. She had three children of her own. Tyler,Troy and Tracy.

He is survived by his son Brian of Grand Portage, MN. and daughter Joleen (Allan) Blue of DeBary, FL; Two grandsons, Ian (Emily) Blue of Orlando, FL. and Eric Blue of Pompano Beach, FL. He is also survived by his second wife Judy and two stepsons, Tyler and Troy.

His surviving siblings are brothers Doug (Sharon) Mayotte of Green Bay, WI; Edward (Deana) Mayotte of Grand forks, ND; Patrick Mayotte of Odanah, WI; Mike (MaryAnn) Mayotte of Houghton, MI; a sister Linda Mayotte of Odanah, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond E. and Bessie of Odanah, WI; His dear wife Mary Ellen Mayotte of Bemidji, MN; Daughters Sherri Lee Mayotte of Bemidji, MN; and Mari-Rae Mayotte Strandlien of Bemidji, MN. One brother Warren Mayotte of Odanah, WI; Sisters Norma Connors of Odanah, WI; Lois Deragon of Hutchinson, MN; A step-daughter, Tracy (Depew) Lane.
