Ranch Sorting finals held

Ranch Sorting National Championship State Finals were held at the Batter River Arena Sept. 24. Placings are determined by total number of points earned throughout the year and it was a close race to the end.

The top five Minnesota state winners (attending five shows) are as follows:

Rookie Division

State Champion was Debra Dvergsten with 36 points, in second place was Suzzett Promersberger with 33 points, in third place was Karin Elhard with 30 points, in fourth place was Rachael Merrill with 23 points and in fifth place was Michelle Mourser with 22 points

Novice Division

State Champion was Dianna Thurlow with 37 points, in second place was Bob Promersberger with 33.5 points, in third place was Danny Anderson with 26 points, in fourth place was Jeff Thurlow with 25.5 points and in fifth place was Orlan Dvergsten with 16.5 points.
