Ramona K. Arnold, 47, of Osage, died peacefully at her Toad Lake home on Friday, August 22, 2008, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley and surrounded by her loving family.

Ramona Kim Marth was born to Oscar and Evelyn (Pauls) Marth on Nov. 16, 1960 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Ramona married Barry Arnold on Sept. 2, 1978 and together they raised four wonderful children -- Jodi, Adam, Aaron and Anthony -- in their 30 years of marriage.

Ramona will be best remembered for her pure loving heart, her spontaneous, high-energy personality and her optimistic outlook of life. She had a spirit that touched everyone with whom she came in contact. Her true passion in life was in her family, home, church and community.

Ramona was a lifelong member of the Christian Fellowship Church, and her organizational abilities were a perfect complement to her deep sense of church and community involvement. A testament to her never-ending energy was her ability to maintain a career (office management) while providing a warm, loving home for her family.

Ramona always had a beautiful flower garden, was a devoted grandmother, loved baking, crocheting, and had an incredible ability to make every holiday an extremely special event.

Ramona will be missed by her husband, Barry; children, Jodi (Darin) Spinelli of Lake Tahoe, Calif., Adam Arnold of Idaho, Aaron Arnold of Ely, Minn., Anthony Arnold of Fargo and Stephanie (Sam) Stigman of Kentucky; four grandchildren; mother, Evelyn (Allen) Stene of Ada, Minn.; father, Oscar (Julaine) Marth of Grand Rapids, Minn.; sisters, Laurie (Jeff) McCarty of Reading, Pa., Monica (Terry) McLuckie of Vancouver, British Columbia, Denise (Tim) Wehrkamp of Sioux Falls, S.D., Wendy (Tim) Gordon of Detroit Lakes, Melody (Mike) Barbaroulo of Sioux Falls and Jaunita (Reed) Rasmusson of Ada; grandmothers, Mary Pauls of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Muriel Swenson of Hawley; father- and mother-in-law, Robert and Diane Arnold of Osage; brothers-in-law, Steve (Michelle) Arnold of Bismarck, N.D., and Mark (Heidi) Arnold of Osage; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation wlll be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27 at Christian Fellowship Church, Detroit Lakes, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at Christian Fellowship Church. West-Kjos Funeral Home, Detroit Lakes, is providing arrangements.
