Public advised to use caution in Beltrami County roadwork area
Repair work began this morning on a portion of Ploium Road Northwest, approximately 400 yards west of Lammers Road Northwest in Beltrami County. The roadwork is occurring west of Bemidji and north of Solway.
According to a press release from the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office of Emergency Management:
Gravel will be hauled in and grading will be done to mitigate water over the roadway.
Construction began about 7 a.m. today, March 31, and should be completed by noon.
Citizens may see gravel trucks in the area. Be advised that the weight limits that normally apply to trucks hauling on roads this time of year do not apply to trucks that are in the employ of any government agencies or local officials who are repairing roads that constitute a hazard to citizens.
Use caution when traveling in the area.
