Prime Time | Pen pals meet

Paul Daman's fourth-grade letter writers at Northern Elementary School finally met their pen pals face to face. On May 11, 28 kids and about the same number of senior citizens got together in the school cafeteria to get to know each other. They quickly became like old friends. They talked and laughed, exchanged small gifts, and had Dilly Bars provided by Betty Magnan. The Pen Pal Program provides an opportunity for a child to develop a relationship with an older person and at the same time work on their writing skills.
