The Senior Center encourages all members to attend this very important meeting. Non-members are also welcome to attend.

The Senior Center is currently celebrating 50 years of serving seniors in the Bemidji area. As part of this celebration, everyone who attends the meeting is invited to an Italian dinner, which will be served after the meeting. There is no charge for the dinner but a free-will donation will be accepted.

The annual meeting will include reports of last year's activities and election of new board members.

Everyone who attends will receive a copy of the organizational assessment of PBSAC that was recently done by Dawn Gagne, consultant for the Northwest Minnesota Foundation.

The assessment process identified several areas that need improvement. The consultant zeroed in on the two most important areas and recommended that the Senior Center board deal with these items as soon as possible.

Gagne said the board needs to come up with a conflict resolution plan and develop a strategic plan for the next five years.

According to Angel Krigbaum, current president of PBSAC, the board accepted the recommendations and will addressing the two top priority items immediately. Krigbaum will give a report on these issues at the annual meeting.
