Timeline

The Search Advisory Committee has proposed to have a new president in place by July 1, although meeting the deadline will depend on the candidates.

The presidential search began in December with the hiring of the search firm Witt/Kieffer. "Committee meetings begin soon," said Howard Jessamy, a consultant with Witt/Kieffer.

Applications will be reviewed from January through April. A list of finalists is expected by April.

"This is a very aggressive timeline, meaning that the committee has less than one academic year to find a president," Jessamy said.

"The position is open until it's filled," he said. "It will be very hard to meet that projected deadline."
