Police Report

The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:


2 p.m. Friday, Middle School Drive Northwest. A minor was found in possession of marijuana.



10:54 a.m. Friday, Bemidji Middle School. A jacket and money were stolen from the girls' locker room.

8:34 a.m. Friday, Bemidji Federal Building. Items belonging to a cleaning service were stolen from a storage closet.

9:50 a.m. Saturday, 300 block of 23rd Street Northeast. Unfounded. A woman who reported her vehicle was stolen remembered she parked it somewhere else.

Disorderly conduct

1:38 a.m. Monday, 1600 block of 23rd Street Northwest. Three individuals were arguing over the use of a vehicle.

1:36 a.m. Sunday, Toasty Beavers. An intoxicated person was removed by staff and officers.

7:10 p.m. Saturday, 100 block of Fourth Street Northeast. An intoxicated woman was reported.

10:11 a.m. Saturday, People's Church. Officers removed an unwanted man.

3:49 a.m. Saturday, 3300 block of Bemidji Avenue North. An intoxicated person was found walking in the roadway.

2:14 a.m. Saturday, 100 block of Minnesota Avenue Northwest. A caller reported seeing someone wearing a black face mask and holding a weapon while looking in the windows of an apartment building. Officers arrested a 21-year-old man for disorderly conduct.


10:24 p.m. Sunday, 800 block of Irvine Avenue Northwest. A vehicle was reportedly smoking in the street. The vehicle was found to be running and the smoke was from exhaust. The owner was verbally warned about a city ordinance violation.


6:10 p.m. Sunday, 20th Street Northwest. The driver was spoken to about city ordinances.

12:42 p.m. Sunday, NY Nails, Paul Bunyan Mall. A glass door was damaged.

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:

9:19 p.m. Friday, Birchmont Drive Northeast. A vehicle backed into a trailer house and drove away.


12:48 p.m. Friday, Puerto Plata Road Northwest. A Northern Township resident reported theft of funds from his debit card and his bank.

10:04 a.m. Saturday, Bemidji Avenue North. A skid spear house left at a boat access for two days went missing.


3:38 p.m. Sunday, Highway 71 South. Two-vehicle accident involving one minor injury.


2:49 p.m. Sunday, Highway 71 Southwest. A vehicle had mechanical issues.

10:26 p.m. Saturday, Turtle River Lake Road Northeast. Brush pile fire.


4:08 a.m. Sunday, Sandy Drive Northeast. A caller believed there was someone on her roof. Upon further inspection it was determined someone had used a ladder to climb up to the roof.


6:03 p.m. Thompson's Auto in Solway. Two $1 counterfeit bills were passed.


11:45 a.m. Saturday, 9800 block of Maple Avenue Northeast. Deputies responded to a Northern Township residence in responded to a reported theft of a Bobcat tractor. An investigation revealed the alleged theft was a marital property dispute in ongoing divorce proceedings.
