Police Report

The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following reports:

Burglary

7:09 a.m. Monday, 400 block of Gould Avenue Northeast.

Peace disturbances

3:45 a.m. Monday, 2900 block of Ridgeway Avenue Northwest. Loud music complaint.

2 a.m. Sunday, Irvine Avenue Northwest. Several people were reportedly yelling and throwing objects off a bridge. Two subjects were located and advised.

Thefts

2:41 a.m. Monday, 300 block of Gould Avenue Northeast. A man was cited for possessing stolen property after being seen moving a grill, which had been stolen, down a road and putting it into a garage. The grill was located and returned.

4:28 p.m. Sunday, 3900 block of Irvine Avenue Northwest. Rings were stolen.

9:07 a.m. Sunday, 1600 block of Calihan Avenue Northeast. A vehicle was reported stolen.

Assaults

12:53 a.m. Monday, Kestrel Pines Townhomes. A 34-year-old man was arrested.

2:50 p.m. Monday, Paul Bunyan Mall. An assault occurred over a drug debt.

Property damages

3:34 p.m. Monday, 1000 block of Bemidji Avenue North. Extra patrol was requested.

9:20 p.m. Saturday, 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. A vehicle was egged.

Disorderly conducts

9:09 a.m. Sunday, 500 block of 12th Street Northwest. A man voluntarily left.

1:54 a.m. Sunday, 100 block of Third Street Northwest. Two men were cited for disorderly conduct after being seen urinating in public.

12:44 a.m. Sunday, 300 block of Beltrami Avenue Northwest. A person was going to urinate in public, but decided against it after seeing an officer.

7:09 p.m. Saturday, 900 block of 26th Street Northwest. A group of young children were bullying other children. The children and their parents were advised.

Weapon offense

10:42 p.m. Saturday, 1000 block of America Avenue Northwest. A gunshot was heard.

Sheriff's Report

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following reports:

Fires

10:57 p.m. Sunday, 15100 block of Gull Lake Loop Road Northeast. A pile of scrap wood started on fire. Bemidji Fire Department and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources extinguished the fire. No property damage was reported and the fire was determined to be unintended.

5:20 p.m. Sunday, 9600 block of Ironwood Lane Northwest. A campfire escaped from a fire ring. About 1 acre of land was blackened from the fire. No buildings were destroyed. The Bemidji Fire Department and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources responded to the call.

Theft

8:38 p.m. Sunday, Gregg Court Northwest. An Apple iPad2 was reportedly stolen from a vehicle.

Disorderly conduct

8:08 p.m. Sunday, Wilton Liquor Store. A 30-year-old man was arrested after attempting to fight with patrons.

Peace disturbance

11:55 p.m. Saturday, Timber Ridge Drive Northeast. Music was turned down.

Thefts

11:01 p.m. Saturday, 100 block of Convenience Lane Southwest. Gas drive-off of $44.

11:49 a.m. Saturday, Tom'Stop, Northern Township. Gas drive-off.

Suspicious

10:57 p.m. Saturday, Continental Court Northwest. A person attempting to burglarize a garage was scared away by the homeowner.

Animals

3:41 p.m. Saturday, Old Willow Court Northwest. A Minnesota Department of Natural Resources firefighter was bitten by a dog while controlling a grass fire. The firefighter's skin was reportedly broken open.

11:16 a.m. Saturday, 2600 block of Ebb Street Northeast, Puposky. A dog was killed by another dog off the owner's property in Nebish. The owner of the suspect dog was issued a potentially dangerous dog order.
