Police Report for April 13
The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following reports:
1:19 a.m. Thursday, 100 block of Third Street Northwest. A woman and man were arguing in front of a bar. The parties agreed to go their separate ways and resolve differences at a later time.
7:30 p.m. Wednesday, 1200 block of Bemidji Avenue North. Loud music complaint. The renter was issued a verbal warning.
10:38 p.m. Wednesday, 1700 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. A sweater containing keys was stolen.
8:33 p.m. Wednesday, Family Dollar Store. Clothing was stolen.
6:38 p.m. Wednesday, Eighth Street Northeast. A metal pipe along Lake Bemidji has bubbles coming from it. The pipe checked out to be an old drainage pipe. Unfounded.
4:44 p.m. Wednesday, 700 block of 21st Street Northwest. A woman reported someone had rummaged through her vehicle and mailbox. She stated it had been a recurring issue and requested extra patrol.
2:29 p.m. Wednesday, Bemidji Avenue Northwest. Officers checked on an intoxicated person walking downtown.
1:52 p.m. Wednesday, Security Bank. A counterfeit $20 bill was received in deposit.
The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following reports:
7:51 p.m. Wednesday, 16500 block of Sharp Rock Road Northeast, Hines. A fire was reported. A farmer was burning a small pasture.
5:07 p.m. Wednesday, Third Street Southeast. A grass fire was reported. No action was taken by the Sheriff's Office. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources extinguished the fire.
5 p.m. Wednesday, Mac Court Northwest. A search warrant was executed at a residence. A 38-year-old man was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance.
3:27 p.m. Wednesday, Chad Drive Northwest and Tiffany Lane Northwest. Items were taken from a garage. There are no suspects at this time.
12:14 p.m. Wednesday, Chad Drive Northwest. Items were stolen from a garage. The homeowner was at the residence at the time of the incident.
10:23 a.m. Wednesday, Chad Drive Northwest. Items were taken from a garage. The homeowner was home at the time of the incident, but heard nothing.
2:22 p.m. Wednesday, Birchmont Drive Northeast. A drum was reported missing from a drum set.
