The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:

Burglary

8:13 p.m. Sunday, 1000 block of Fifth Street Southeast. A burglary that occurred in December was reported.

Property damage

9:29 a.m. Sunday, 900 block of Carter Circle Southeast. Vehicle tires were slashed.

Assault

8:52 p.m. Saturday, 2900 block of Ridgeway Avenue Northwest. A 41-year old man was arrested for domestic assault by strangulation.

2:55 a.m. Saturday, 2800 block of Ridgeway Avenue Northwest. Officers responded to a report of a physical assault, and two people were arrested.

1:54 a.m. Friday, 2600 block of Delton Avenue Northwest. A 28-year old man was arrested on gross misdemeanor domestic assault charges.

Welfare check

6:14 p.m. Saturday, 2800 block of Ridgeway Avenue Northwest. Officers responded a request to check on the welfare of a juvenile female. After an investigation, the juvenile was placed in a foster home and the parents were arrested on multiple charges, including felony first-degree possession of a controlled substance and gross misdemeanor endangerment of a child.

Theft

1:19 p.m. Saturday, 1200 block of Norton Avenue Northwest. Ducks were reported stolen.

8:10 a.m. Saturday, 1900 block of Delton Avenue Northwest. A possible theft of a vehicle was reported to dispatch.

2:29 p.m. Friday, 3000 block of Division Street West. A theft from a toolbox was reported.

Disturbing the peace

3:21 a.m. Saturday, 2900 block of Ridgeway Avenue Northwest. Officers responded to a disturbance at an apartment. There, they arrested a 34-year old woman on charges of providing false information, obstructing the legal process, violating a no-drink order and outstanding warrants.

11:56 p.m. Friday, 1400 block of Birchmont Drive Northeast. A report of disturbing the peace resulted in 10 people being arrested on unknown charges and 13 people being cited. All were under the age of 21.
