MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Police plan to release a timeline Monday showing what happened when a fired employee went on a shooting rampage at a Minneapolis company.

Chief Tim Dolan tells WCCO Radio three distinct areas at Accent Signage Systems were affected when 36-year-old Andrew Engeldinger began shooting Thursday, killing five people, including founder Reuven Rahamim, before killing himself. Dolan says it's clear people in the affected areas had little idea of what was happening elsewhere in the building.

Dolan notes that it was Minnesota's deadliest workplace shooting ever. He says police have spoken with several concerned businesses since then about how to handle problematic employees when they need to fire them.

Engeldinger's family says he struggled for years with mental illness.

Two of the three people who were wounded but survived remain hospitalized.
