Police arrest Crookston man for attempted Burger King robbery

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Grand Forks police have arrested a Minnesota man they say tried to rob a local Burger King.

The Grand Forks Herald reports that 22-year-old Drew Marvin Smith, of Crookston, Minn., was arrested on charges of attempted robbery, terrorizing and assault.

Authorities say Smith reportedly tried to rob the Burger King on Saturday night but two employees were able to detain the suspect until police arrived. The employees suffered minor injuries in the scuffle.
