Police and sheriff report for September 30

Police report
The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:
Animal
8:12 p.m. Friday, Midway Drive South. A report of a vehicle hitting a puppy. The dog died upon the officer’s arrival and was transported to the City Pound for disposal.
Property Damage
6:49 p.m. Friday, Birchmont Drive Northeast. A group of skateboarders were reported to be boarding down a grass hill at Cameron Park, damaging the grass. The group was located and advised.
Theft
6:08 p.m. Friday, Walmart. A report of a theft suspect at Walmart. Officers located the subject and cited her for shoplifting and giving false information to police.
Disorderly Conduct
2:39 p.m. Friday, Fifth Street. Officers checked the area for juveniles throwing things at cars. Officer spoke to the group and they denied involvement.
Sheriff’s report
The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:
Burglary
9:05 a.m. Friday, Jelle Road Northwest in Grygla. A cabin was broken into in the Hamre Township sometime after 8 p.m. on Thursday and before 9:30 a.m. on Friday. The door was forced open with a blunt object. It is unknown was was missing because the owner is out of town. A pistol case was left laying empty on the counter, alcohol was also missing. Case under investigation, close to several other open Burglaries in the area.
