Counterfeit

Thursday. A woman reported that she sent $3,000 to a man she met on the Internet in return for $8,500 in checks. The checks were determined to be fraudulent.

Theft

7:04 p.m. Friday, 500 block of Second Street Southeast. A MinnKota Maxim 44-pound thrust trolling motor was stolen. The loss is valued at $200.
