The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:
Thefts
10:52 p.m. Tuesday, 300 block of Central Avenue Southeast. Officers responded to a theft in progress.
7:34 p.m. Tuesday, 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. Female individual cited for shoplifting.
5:23 p.m. Tuesday, Hampton Inn. Theft of a laptop.
4:30 p.m. Tuesday, 2900 block of Pine Ridge Avenue Northwest. Theft of a laptop from a vehicle.
4:04 p.m. Tuesday, 2600 block of Delton Avenue Northwest. Theft of a bike. The bike was located, and a male juvenile was detained at the Northwest Juvenile Center.
12:43 p.m. Tuesday, 1800 block of America Court Northwest. Theft of a bike.
10:06 a.m. Tuesday, Murphy USA. Gas drive-off theft.
Assaults
9:52 p.m. Tuesday, 900 block of 21st Street Northwest. Assault at a high school football game.
8:34 p.m. Tuesday, 800 block of 26th Street Northwest. Anonymous report of possible domestic assault.
Property damage
6 p.m. Tuesday, 500 block of Bemidji Avenue North. Report of vandalism.
Fraud
4:13 p.m. Tuesday, 600 block of 39th Street Northwest. Officer took a report of credit card fraud.
Drugs
3:51 p.m., 800 block of 26th Street Northwest. A caller was concerned about a person’s possible drug usage.
Animal
2 p.m. Tuesday, Bemidji Middle School. A gray cat with a broken leg and back was euthanized.
Accident
12:33 p.m. Tuesday, McDonald’s North. A hit-and-run accident was reported.
Disturbing the peace
12:16 a.m. Tuesday, 200 block of 26th Street Northeast. Loud music complaint. One man was cited for possession of marijuana.
Sheriff’s Report
The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:
Weapons offense
10:59 p.m. Tuesday, Mission Lake area of Ten Lake Township. Report of gunfire; unable to locate.
Missing persons
7:05 p.m. Tuesday, Becida Road Southwest. Person came home while investigation was under way.
Accident
3:53 p.m. Tuesday, Division Street West. Three-vehicle accident with minor injuries. One vehicle did not stop.
Theft
2:54 p.m. Tuesday, U.S. Highway 71 Northeast. Debit cards are being used without the authorization of the complainant, who had lost his wallet.
Disorderly conduct
12:53 p.m. Tuesday, Evening Lane Northwest. A landlord was cited for causing fear in behavior toward complainant.
