The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:
Assaults
1:03 a.m. Friday, 100 block of Central Avenue Southeast. A man was taken to the emergency room after an assault. Criminal charges are pending.
Thefts
6:18 p.m. Thursday, 900 block of Minnesota Avenue Northwest. A sign was stolen.
11:42 a.m. Thursday, 2400 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. Someone drove without paying for gas.
9 a.m. Thursday, 100 block of Beltrami Avenue Northwest. A theft was reported.
Drugs
5:17 p.m. Thursday, 2800 block of Pine Ridge Avenue Northwest. A man was arrested for possession of controlled substances.
