Police Report

The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:


4:11 p.m. Friday, Mississippi Avenue Northwest. A burglary was reported, a TV and cash were stolen. The suspect was located and arrested.

Disorderly conduct

6:59 p.m. Friday, Fourth Street Northwest. Report to remove one from Corner Coin Laundry.  Subject located and advised by owner he is trespassed from the store.


7:28 p.m. Friday, Irvine Avenue and Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. No details available.


12:53 p.m. Friday, 26th Street Northwest. Citizen’s car stolen from street in front of residence.

2:46 a.m. Friday, 600 block of Bemidji Avenue North. An individual reported the window broken in his vehicle and items taken.

2:39 a.m., 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. Shoplifter.

Sheriff’s Report

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:


5:34 p.m. Friday, Highway 2. Two-vehicle crash.

3:31 p.m. Friday, 800 block of Tyler Avenue Southeast. Report of motor vehicle collision.


4:25 a.m. Friday, Patriot Drive Northwest. Adult male arrested for domestic assault.


10:40 a.m. Friday, Puposky. Three buildings entered by force in Alaska Township. Two snowmobiles stolen, one driven and the other loaded into a vehicle. Investigation continues.


5:18 a.m. Friday, Mac Court Northwest. A vehicle was reported burning in the yard of the owner in Eckles Township.  The fire is under investigation as an arson. No suspects at this time.

Property Damage

7:11 p.m. Friday, Solway. Deputies responded to a property damage accident. No suspects at this time.


7:28 a.m. Friday, Arnson Creek Road and Hoyum Road Northeast. Report of abandoned vehicle in the woods. Investigation revealed unreported motor vehicle collision.


11:36 p.m. Friday, Blackduck. Theft of firearm by family member. Possible civil.

Vehicle Calls

1:15 p.m. Friday, 21000 block of Irvine Avenue. A school bus slid off of the roadway of Irvine Avenue while slowing down for a motorist who was changing a flat tire. The school bus was winched out of the ditch by Bogart’s Towing of Blackduck.

Fire Report

The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:

1:24 p.m. Friday, Irvine Avenue and Great Divide. School bus in ditch, no medical needs

7:18 p.m. Friday, Wal-Mart. Medical.

10:28 a.m. Saturday, 1700 block of Fifth Street Northeast. Detector activation.

10:38 a.m., 3400 block of Buchanan Avenue Southwest. Odor of propane.
