Police Report
The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:
Assault
6:31 p.m. Tuesday, 2900 block of Pine Ridge Avenue Northwest. A woman was reportedly assaulted.
Thefts
12:54 p.m. Tuesday, 1801 Birch Lane NE. A soccer goal net was stolen from the Bemidji State University Recreation Center.
8:49 a.m. Tuesday, 3400 block of Bemidji Avenue North. Tools were stolen from a trailer.
Sheriff’s Report
The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:
Property damage
4:15 p.m. Tuesday, 149 Convenience Lane Southeast. A vehicle was southbound on U.S. Highway 71 and attempted to brake at the stoplight at U.S. Highway 2 when its brakes failed. The driver went into the ditch to avoid other cars, but crashed into a street sign and fence belonging to Southside Restaurant.
Thefts
2:02 a.m. Tuesday, 100 block of Minnesota Avenue Northwest. A theft was reported.
