Sheriff's report

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:

Arson

4:13 p.m. Friday, 300 block of Main Street East, Blackduck. An abandoned residence was on fire. No property damage was reported as the fire was extinguished quickly by neighbors who put out the fire before responders arrived. Preliminary investigation indicates that arson was the cause.

Party complaints

9:01 p.m. Friday, 38000 block of Highway 72 Northeast.

11:03 p.m. Friday, Erick Lake Access Northwest.

Fire report

The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:

4:26 p.m. Friday, Lincoln School. Medical call.

7:50 p.m. Friday, Fifth Street Northwest and Bemidji Avenue Northwest. Possible injury reported, unfounded.

9:02 p.m. Friday, Neilson Place. A possible orange glow of some sort was reported and determined to be unfounded.

2:14 a.m. Saturday, Southside Restaurant. Fire alarm. Caused by malfunctioning water heater.

7:54 a.m. Saturday, 2800 block of Birchmont Drive Northeast. Medical call.
