Police Report
The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:
Thefts
10:07 a.m. Thursday, Holiday South. Gas drive-off theft.
8:47 p.m. Wednesday, 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. Report of a fleeing shoplifter at Walmart. A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting, giving false information to police and an outstanding warrant.
Disorderly conduct
7:12 p.m. Wednesday, Bemidji Discount Liquors. A male was attempting to get others to purchase alcohol on his behalf at after he was denied a purchase due to his perceived level of intoxication.
Fraud
2:41 p.m. Wednesday, 700 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. Complaint of fraud of bank account funds.
Sheriff's Report
The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:
Assault
11:57 a.m. Wednesday, Power Dam Road Northeast. A bullying situation on a school bus was reported.
Financial crimes
11:13 a.m. Wednesday, no address listed. A rural Bagley man on May 1 issued a $71,471.23 check to Knife River Materials of Bemidji. The checking account had insufficient funds and the man has not to date made good on the check.

4:29 p.m. Wednesday, 400 block of Irving Access Loop Southwest. Fire alarm.
