Sheriff’s Report

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:


30100 block of Clearline Road Southwest in Solway. A 29-year old man facing charges of felony second-degree drug sales was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court.

The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:


3:04 a.m. Wednesday, 1120 Paul Bunyan Drive NW. Officers responded to an assault at Perkins, where a 33-year old man was arrested for misdemeanor assault.


2:06 a.m. Wednesday, 1900 block of Delton Avenue Northwest. Officers responded to a vehicle theft.

4:52 p.m. Tuesday, 1300 block of America Avenue Northwest. A man reported that signs were removed from his property.

Traffic stop

12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. A vehicle was stopped for running a red light. The driver was arrested for driving after cancelation inimical to public safety and the passenger was arrested for a warrant.

Fire Report

The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:

5:33 p.m. Tuesday, 2400 block of Birchmont Beach Road. Grass fire.

6:25 p.m. Tuesday, Park Rapids area. Eleven firefighters and four vehicles, including a fire engine, tanker and squad car were dispatched to the Menahga wildfire.

3:08 a.m. Wednesday, 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. A medical call was cancelled en route to the scene.

7:59 a.m. Wednesday, 500 block of Irving Beach Road Southwest. Medical call.
