Police and fire report for May 11
The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:
1:22 a.m. Friday, 900 block of 30th Street Northwest. A vehicle was damaged.
1:58 p.m. Thursday, 600 America Avenue Northwest. Windows were reported shot by a BB gun.
12:21 p.m. Thursday, 200 block of 19th Street Northeast. Two slashed tires were reported at Bemidji State University.
4:46 p.m. Thursday, 900 block of 21st Street Northwest. An intoxicated man was being confrontational with neighbors. He was arrested on charges of misdemeanor fleeing from a police officer after attempting to hide in a nearby residence. He also had a felony warrant for his arrest.
The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:
10:42 a.m. Thursday, 10200 block of State Highway 89 Northwest in Red Lake. A 34-year old man was arrested on charges of felony fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor DWI.
The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:
4:28 p.m. Thursday, 100 block of Minnesota Avenue Northwest. Fire alarm.
4:32 p.m. Thursday, 2900 block of Division Street West. Fire alarm.
6:32 p.m. Thursday, 800 block of Rodeo Drive Northwest. Grass fire.
11:06 p.m. Thursday, 1400 block of Birchmont Drive Northwest. Firefighters responded to a report of a gas smell.
