Police Report
The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:
Thefts
9:16 p.m. Tuesday, Old Jefferson Drive Northwest, Solway. A vehicle was observed taking property, including lumber, steel pipe and insulation. The vehicle, a black pickup with camouflage fenders, matches the description of a suspicious vehicle reported earlier Tuesday on Lumberjack Road. It had been reported at 4:43 p.m. that the vehicle was dumping trash along Lumberjack Road.
5:53 p.m. Wednesday, 1800 block of Irvine Avenue northwest. A purse containing $40 cash was stolen.
10:25 a.m. Wednesday, 19th Street Northeast. Money was stolen.
Burglary
6:47 p.m. Tuesday, state Highway 89 Northwest. A television and a set of sunglasses were stolen in the early-morning hours while the homeowners were sleeping.
Sheriff's Report
The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:
Fraud
11:36 a.m. Wednesday, 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. A suspect tried to pass a fake $20 at Lueken's Village Foods North.
Property damage
3:06 a.m. Wednesday, 1600 block of Park Avenue Northwest. A rock was thrown through a window.
1:49 p.m. Tuesday, 2600 block of Delton Avenue Northwest. A window was damaged by a claw hammer.
Theft
12:24 p.m. Wednesday, 700 block of Archery Road Northwest. Chickens were stolen in Grant Valley Township.
Fire Report
The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:
1:18 p.m. Tuesday, 1200 block of 30th Street Northwest. Fire alarm.
2:26 p.m. Tuesday, Bemidji Public Library. Medical call.
7:57 p.m. Tuesday, Super 8 Motel. Medical call.
9:46 a.m. Thursday, 200 block of Park Avenue Northwest. Grease fire on stove.
3:39 p.m. Wednesday, Wee Gwas Lane Southwest. Brush fire. Sixteen firefighters were on scene for about two hours while five more remained on standby.
5:22 a.m. Thursday, 900 block of 30th Street Northwest. Medical call.
8:15 a.m. Thursday, Wee Gwas Lane Southwest. Follow-up on Wednesday brush fire.
