Police Report

The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:

Disorderly conduct

2:21 a.m. Tuesday, 100 block of Third Street Northwest. A 53-year-old man was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Peace disturbance

12:13 a.m. Tuesday, 600 block of 14th Street Northwest. Noise complaint. Renters were issued a verbal warning for having a disorderly house.

Burglary

9:24 p.m. Monday, 300 block of Stoner Avenue Northeast. The rear door of a residence was broken in and a laptop computer was stolen.

Thefts

7:57 p.m. Monday, 1600 block of Park Avenue Northwest. A 17-foot aluminum canoe was stolen.

2:43 p.m. Monday, 500 block of 14th Street Northwest. A television receiver was stolen.

7:47 a.m. Monday, 900 block of Irvine Avenue Northwest. Theft from a vehicle.

Suspicious

5:19 p.m. Monday, Paul Bunyan Drive Southeast. An intoxicated man found lying on a bicycle path was sent on his way without incident.

Drugs

4:50 p.m. Monday, 900 block of Sixth Street Southeast. A caller was concerned her sister was possibly abusing prescription medications.

Sheriff's Report

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:

Assist

10:18 p.m. Monday, Ponemah Road, Ponemah. Deputies responded to the Red Lake Indian Reservation border and assisted Red Lake police units in pursuit of a suspect on the reservation. The pursuit stayed on the reservation and no action was taken by deputies.

Weapon offense

9:49 p.m. Monday, Foxcraft Road Northwest. Gunshots were heard. A deputy was unable to locate the source of the noise.

Fire

3:36 p.m. Monday, 2700 block of Rayne Court Northwest. A homeowner burned a brush pile that spread to a field. About one acre of land was burned before the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources extinguished it.

Animal

1:21 p.m. Monday, 15th Street Northwest. Kittens stuck under a vehicle were removed and their owner was located.

Fire Report

The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:

2:15 p.m. Friday, Horace May Elementary School. Fire alarm.

3:17 p.m. Saturday, U.S. Highway 2, near Beltrami County Road 50. Car fire. Cancelled.

8:45 p.m. Saturday, 2900 block of Pine Ridge Avenue Northwest. Medical call.

12:48 p.m. Sunday, Bemidji Regional Airport. Landscape fire.

4:21 p.m. Sunday, U.S. Highway 2. Motor vehicle collision.

12:26 p.m. Monday, Burger King North. Medical call.

3:38 p.m. Monday, 2700 block of Rayne Court Northwest. A fire was reported. Nine firefighters responded with one engine and one tanker.

8:18 p.m. Monday, Waterfront. Medical call.
