Police Report

The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:

Disorderly conducts

7:22 a.m. Thursday, 800 block of 26th Street Northwest.

6:14 p.m. Wednesday, A woman was reportedly banging on doors and harassing her neighbor.

Assault

12:48 a.m. Thursday, 800 block of 26th Street Northwest. A disturbance was reported. A 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested for violating no-drink orders.

Medical

6:54 p.m. Wednesday, 500 block of America Avenue Northwest. An intoxicated woman fell off a bench and was stuck. Law enforcement and Bemidji Fire Department officials assisted her. She declined any medical attention and was given a courtesy ride to the People's Church.

Welfare check

6:05 p.m. Wednesday, Second Street Northwest. An officer checked on a man lying in the field. The man was taking a nap.

Property damages

5:10 p.m. Wednesday, 900 block of 26th Street Northwest.

12:34 p.m. Wednesday, Minnesota Avenue Northwest and Fourth Street Northwest. A woman reported seeing scratches on the passenger door of her vehicle. The scratches may have occurred when it was parked in a city lot.

Fire

4:55 p.m. Wednesday, 900 block of 30th Street Northwest. A small fire was extinguished by the renter.

Peace disturbance

4:24 p.m. Wednesday, 700 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. An all-terrain vehicle with a loud stereo was displayed outside a business. The ATV owner was advised of the complaint and turned the music off.

Fraud

3:19 p.m. Wednesday, Affinity Plus bank. A suspicious wire transfer was reported.

Theft

8:29 a.m. Wednesday, 2500 block of Beltrami Avenue Northwest. A man reported he was notified by the Internal Revenue Service that someone had claimed his deceased son as a dependent.

Sheriff's Report

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:

Theft

8:04 p.m. Wednesday, 6400 block of Irvine Avenue Northwest. A woman reported someone stole a package of clothing from her mailbox.

Weapon offense

6:57 p.m. Wednesday, Blackduck. At least eight gunshots were reported coming from the area of Maesse School Road in Hornet Township over the span of an hour. A deputy arrived within 10 minutes of the initial call and stayed 45 minutes.

Assault

2:33 p.m. Wednesday, Jackpine Road Northwest. A husband and wife got into a physical altercation. The woman admitted striking and pushing her husband and that her husband had pushed her. Both parties refused to leave the residence.

Littering

1:17 p.m. Wednesday, Great Divide Road Northwest, Puposky. Garbage was left along the road.

7:46 a.m. Wednesday, Aspen Avenue Northwest. Two bags of household garbage were found in the ditch. Nothing was found in the garbage that identified who it belonged to.

Warrant

9:37 a.m. Wednesday, 7700 block of Memorial Lane Northwest and 6500 block of Radar Road Northwest. Two adults were arrested for possession of controlled substance.

Alarm

4:35 a.m. Wednesday, 900 block of Dewey Avenue Southwest, Wilton. Deputies located a chain fastened to a gate that had been damaged. Several outbuildings were entered but it is unknown if anything is missing. The alarm panel was pulled from the wall and will be checked for fingerprints.

The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:

2:20 p.m. Wednesday, 800 block of Beltrami Avenue Northwest. Carbon monoxide check, no elevated levels detected.

4:57 p.m. Wednesday, 900 block of 30th Street Northwest. Fire alarm.

6:58 p.m. Wednesday, Bemidji Public Library. Assist.

5:38 p.m. Wednesday, 9600 block of state Highway 89 North. Controlled burn.

11:48 p.m. Wednesday, 600 block of America Avenue Northwest. Medical call.

7:32 a.m. Thursday, U.S. Highway 71 and Anne Street Northwest. Three-vehicle personal-injury accident.

8:30 a.m. Thursday, Lincoln Elementary School. Fire alarm.
