Police and fire report for March 27
The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:
2:10 a.m. Tuesday, 1100 block of Dewey Avenue Northeast. A man was arrested for gross misdemeanor DWI and interfering with a 911 call, as well as felony terroristic threats.
5:41 p.m. Monday, 500 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. Items were stolen from a purse.
5:34 p.m. Monday, 600 block of America Avenue Northwest. A purse was stolen.
The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:
9:58 p.m. Monday, 10100 block of Maxine Way Northwest. Deputies responded to a request to remove a man from a residence in Northern Township. The man left and led deputies on a high speed pursuit. He was arrested after he parked behind a building on the south end of Irvine Avenue. He was arrested on felony fleeing officers in a motor vehicle as well as gross misdemeanor driving after cancellation inimical to public safety and second-degree DWI.
3:32 p.m. Monday, 100 block of Anne Street Northwest. Damage to a vehicle and theft of gas was reported. The car was parked at a Northern Township establishment. Estimated loss is $600.
The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:
12:13 p.m. Tuesday, intersection of Irvine Avenue Northwest and 18th Street Northwest. Motor vehicle accident.
