Police report

The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:

Motor vehicle theft

9:46 a.m. Wednesday, 600 block of Second Street Southeast. A silver 1998 Honda Accord was stolen. The vehicle is missing the right side mirror and right side upper molding around the door.



1 p.m. Wednesday, 700 block of Pershing Avenue Southeast. A Strum Ruger .22-caliber semi-automatic pistol was stolen.


1:46 p.m. Wednesday, 3900 block of Irvine Avenue Northwest. Tools were taken.

Property damage

5:13 p.m. Wednesday, 1400 block of Delton Avenue Northwest.

Sheriff's report

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:


10:31 a.m. Tuesday, 7300 block of Northwoods Road Northwest. Someone used the complainant's credit card number to order a $799 computer from South Carolina.

Animal bite

5:15 p.m. Tuesday, 15300 block of Werner Road Northwest. A man reported that he was bitten by a dog on Monday and then that same dog was aggressive toward him, but did not bite him, on Tuesday. The owner was served a notice that her dog may be potentially dangerous.


6:41 p.m. Tuesday, Corral Road Northeast, Kelliher. A window air-conditioning unit, a ramp for an all-terrain vehicle and a stereo receiver with speakers were stolen.

Property damage

5:08 p.m. Wednesday, 14300 block of Roosevelt Road Southeast.

Peace disturbance

9:07 p.m. Wednesday, 19900 block of Lake Julia Drive Northwest.

Fire report

The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:

8:24 p.m. Wednesday, Irvine Avenue North. A possible house fire was reported, but determined to be a controlled burn.

8:30 p.m. Wednesday, 300 block of Beltrami Avenue Northwest. Medical call.

1:17 a.m. Thursday, 100 block of Third Street Northwest. Medical call.

2:18 a.m. Thursday, 1300 block of Whiting Road Northwest. A small fire was reported in a garage. The homeowners had extinguished the fire prior to firefighters' arrival.
