Police Report
The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:
Animal
5:41 p.m. Tuesday, 900 block of 21st Street Northwest. A dog was reported to have been left in a van for several weeks.
Theft
4:56 p.m. Tuesday, 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. A laptop computer was reported stolen.
9:41 a.m. Tuesday, 2800 block of Ridgeway Avenue Northwest. A vehicle was reported stolen.
Assault
2:41 p.m. Tuesday, 626 Minnesota Ave. NW. An assault was reported at the Beltrami County Jail.
11:04 a.m. Tuesday, 800 block of 26th Street Northwest. A man reported that he was stabbed with an ice pick by his ex-girlfriend.
10:58 a.m. Tuesday, 900 block of 30th Street Northwest. A man was arrested for felony domestic assault by strangulation and other charges.
Drugs
2:19 p.m. Tuesday, 1800 block of Division Street West. Fed Ex intercepted a package that contained a small amount of marijuana.
Sheriff’s Report
The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls:
Vehicle calls/complaints
3:39 p.m. Tuesday, Pincherry Road Northeast. A school bus backed into a ditch, blocking the roadway. It was pulled out by a tow truck.
Fire Report
The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:
10:53 a.m. Four firefighters responded to a medical call in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue.
2:50 p.m. Five firefighters responded to a medical call in the 2500 block of Lake Avenue NW.
