Police Report

The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following reports:


9:56 p.m. Sunday, Paul Bunyan Drive Southeast. A caller reported an individual was yelling at him and throwing things at his vehicle as they were traveling.

Disorderly conduct

6:09 p.m. Sunday, Park Avenue Northwest. A man was seen passed out in the roadway. He was ultimately arrested on outstanding warrants.

Property damage

5:36 p.m. Sunday, 2900 block of Ridgeway Avenue Northwest. A woman reported several young children were throwing rocks at her apartment building. No damage occurred.


10:38 a.m. Sunday, 500 block of 12th Street Northwest. A vehicle was reported stolen.


2:28 a.m. Sunday, 200 block of Minnesota Avenue Northwest. A fight was reported. Three male individuals were cited. One male individual was transported to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.


2:04 a.m. Sunday, 200 block of Minnesota Avenue Northwest. A man was standing in the middle of an alley, yelling and impeding traffic.

4:22 p.m. Saturday, Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. Two men were reported to have solicited a motorist to buy a television from their van.

1 p.m. Saturday, Grant Avenue Southeast. Two unidentified male juveniles started a stump on fire in the wooded area south of the tennis courts in Nymore Park. The Bemidji Fire Department extinguished the fire.


8:26 p.m. Saturday, 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. A man possessed marijuana in Walmart and fled from an officer. The man was arrested.


2:21 p.m. Saturday, Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. City water crew was paged to repair a broken water main.

Sheriff's Report

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following reports:


1:52 p.m. Sunday, Third Street Northwest, Wilton. Shots and then an explosion were heard. An explosive target was shot by suspect causing the bang. A warning was given on shooting in the city.


11:36 p.m. Saturday, Washington Avenue South. Two adults recovered narcotic items at a residence.

Weapons offense

8:58 p.m. Saturday, 15600 block of Irvine Avenue Northwest. Subjects shooting a shotgun in dirt pit.

Vehicle call/complaint

6:24 p.m. Saturday, Polaris Road Northwest, Puposky. A vehicle was found broken down on the roadway. Both rear wheels were missing from the vehicle. No one was around and no note was left indicating anyone would return.
