The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:
2:02 a.m. Wednesday, 100 block of Third Street Northwest. A 39-year-old man was arrested after an assault was reported downtown.
11:11 p.m. Tuesday, 1400 block of Minnesota Avenue Northwest. Bike theft.
8:08 p.m. Tuesday, 2700 block of Florence Lane Northwest. Suspicious draft on bank account.
4:05 p.m. Tuesday, 2400 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. Gas drive-off from PetroServe.
3:08 p.m. Tuesday, 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. A possible shoplifter was detained for identification. Drug paraphernalia was seized and destroyed.
The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:
3:16 p.m. Tuesday, 4000 block of Supreme Court Northwest. A fire started on the exterior siding, bark and mulch of an apartment. No injuries reported. Cigarette butt was the probable source of ignition.
8:43 a.m. Tuesday, 10000 block of Uffda Lane Northeast. Caller reported the theft of the Sunday Pioneer two weeks in a row. No suspects provided.
