Police report

The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:

Burglary

4:54 a.m. Friday, 500 block of 12th Street Northwest. A Kenwood car stereo and blue 26-inch men's bike were stolen. The homeowner said she saw someone attempting to gain entry to the home through a window but scared him off. Later, the homeowners discovered items missing from outside the home and in a vehicle.

Motor vehicle thefts

2:05 p.m. Friday, 2700 block of Irvine Avenue North. A 1998 Ford Contour was stolen. It was later located on the Red Lake reservations where the vehicle had been destroyed in a fire.

5:55 p.m. Friday, 1200 block of Beltrami Avenue Northwest. A 1992 Chevrolet conversion van was stolen and later recovered in Clearwater County.

Thefts from vehicles

11:11 p.m. Friday, 900 block of 26th Street Northwest. The vehicle's owner found someone rummaging through his vehicle. The suspect ran off with an iPod and $50 cash.

1:32 p.m. Saturday, 2000 block of Irvine Avenue North. The title to the vehicle was stolen from the glove compartment.

5:14 p.m. Sunday, 700 block of Third Street Southeast. A CD player was stolen.

Gas drive-off theft

7:06 p.m. Saturday, 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Southeast.

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:

Motor vehicle theft

5:20 a.m. Friday, 10200 block of Battle Road Northeast. A 1992 GMC Sierra was stolen.

Stolen property

Saturday, U.S. Highway 2 West. A brown wallet containing identification and $9 in cash was stolen.

Animal bite

5:13 p.m. Saturday, Carver Road Northeast. An 8-year-old boy was bitten by a dog. The bite required stitches to his upper lip.

Fraud by credit card

1:29 p.m. Sunday, Lakewood Drive Northwest. Unauthorized use of a credit card was reported.

Theft

2:10 p.m. Sunday, 7600 block of Birchmont Beach Road Northeast. An electronic dartboard and six sets of darts were stolen.

Boat theft

3:03 p.m. Sunday, 4900 block of Balsam Road Northwest. A homemade trailer with a jet ski strapped onto it was stolen.

ATV complaint

4:44 p.m. Sunday, 6500 block of state Highway 89 Northwest.

Peace disturbance

6:21 p.m. Sunday, 1300 block of Balsam Road Northwest.

11:14 a.m. Sunday, 300 block of Eighth Street Northwest. Gas smell.

7:32 p.m. Sunday, 3500 block of Birchmont Drive Northeast. A tree was across some power lines.

9:29 p.m. Sunday, 1500 block of Roosevelt Road Southeast. Medical call.

3:20 a.m. Monday, 800 block of Dewey Avenue Northwest. Medical call.
